Fabric Details

Wabash Stripe fabric originated in the early 1800’s in the U.S., first made by Stifel Co. It was used for workwear—railroad and factory uniforms—because its indigo dye and dotted/striped discharge patterns hid wear and dirt. In Japan, vintage and repro brands have revived the fabric, honoring its rugged heritage while adapting texture and design for modern style.
